Experience:
Jason is new face on the Westervelt Wildlife Services Team and is certified as an Associate Wildlife Biologist. His involvement in numerous wildlife research and habitat management projects including species such as white-tailed deer, wild turkey, ruffed grouse, bobwhite quail, black bear, woodcock, and various waterfowl help him to provide a basis for making habitat management decisions on your property. Jason also has a wide range of wildlife damage management and trapping experience as well. His deep passion for the outdoors and natural resource conservation can be attributed to his avid pursuit of hunting game animals and largemouth bass fishing throughout his life.
Specialties:
Jason specializes in ecology and management of upland game birds, specifically bobwhite quail and wild turkey, silvicultural practices that impact wildlife diversity and abundance, and farming practices that can benefit wildlife conservation. He enjoys working with landowners to create cooperative wildlife habitat management practices to enhance their hunting experiences. Jason is also a plant expert and is a walking field guide when it comes to plant and tree identification.
